HEX Green Plastic Gold Pan The HEX gold pan incorporates the features of the square pans and all the features of the round traditional gold pans. The name of the pan says it all. The HEX has 6 sides, two with large riffles, two with smaller riffles, and two with a rough textured finishing surface.
The riffles found in a round pan are inefficient because the material is squeezed into the center of the riffle, leaving most of the riffle surface unused. This makes no more sense than having a round bottom in s sluice box! The flat riffle surfaces in the HEX pan spread the material out over the entire riffle surface for quicker panning with less loss of gold.  See Details

LeTrap Square Gold Pan This is possibly the most efficient gold pan made. The flat riffle design along edge spreads material out, instead of pinching it toward the center as in a round pan. This gives gold access to the full riffle surface, allowing faster panning and less gold loss. The seven riffles are deeper near the bottom of the pan and shallower near the top aiding in the classification of the material. The panning action is back and forwards over the riffled surface. The pan is 12" wide by 17" long at the top with a 5-1/2" by 7" bottom and stands 4" tall.  See Details
