Power Jets & Jet Accessories

Power jets (or powerjets) are suction creating devices that pull material through the suction hose and into the sluice box of a suction dredge. Power jets are preferred for deeper water and larger dredges, while suction nozzles, the other type of suction creating device used on a suction dredge, are preferred for shallow water use. Power jets are identically sized on both ends for use inline with suction hose, while power jets mounted directly to a sluice box are oversized to help reduce clogging. Oversize power jets often incorporate a quick release hose system.
