Forum Upgrades

There will be some service disruptions while I upgrade the forums with new features and functionality. Some of it may just be weird things showing up and going away, like when I was experimenting with RSS feeds yesterday. The forum may go offline for a short periods - like maybe 1/2 hour, so I can go to the latest version of vBulletin. We are running 4.0.2 and they are up to 4.1.2. The new version adds a mobile version of the forum for cell phone users and Facebook integration, among other things. There will be a upgrade to the photo gallery as what vBulletin now offers is very rudimentary. And other stuff also under wraps yet but coming soon.

Yikes, that was kind of hair-raising! But I got vBulletin updated to version 4.1.2. There are a lot of bug fixes so hopefully the forum runs faster and more stable. Two main visible additions are a Mobile style so the forums can now be seen easily on small mobile devices like cell phones. And now for you Facebook people there is a Like button that allows you to mark a particular thread as something you enjoyed or learned something from. More coming but I want to make sure we are stable at this point before adding anything else.
