I am a member of the AGF and had read many of steve's posts their,and was always impressed with his info, and thought it was time to look at his new site.Iam impressed Steve. you have built a great looking forum.

HI, my name is Mike (mcscs) has been lurking for awhile and joint recently. I'm interested in getting started metal detecting mostly on the beaches here in South Florida.
I'm retired chief engineer on tugboats all my life. Triple bypass and back surgery put an end to that some looking for a low stress hobby and this seems to fit the bill nicely. The learned a lot from this forum . The main thing is that all the members of willing to explain to the new guys. Some of the other forums I've found seem to believe everybody starts off as an expert. Makes it very difficult for the guy to catch on. I've learned a lot so far am sure this will continue. I hope everybody finds what they're looking for good luck and have a great day.
p.s. I'm going to post in autograph book in a trade section hopefully someone will make a trade with me so I can get started. Like many of you .I have to find innovative ways to fund this new hobby. Can,t just use those credit cards like I used to
