Default A larger coil for the GMT

I contacted Whites, to find out if they had plans to make a larger coil for the GMT. The answer is no, because the GMT is used by prospectors, mostly in highly meneralized soil. A larger coil would overload and kick off. I beleive that this is so, because when I beep on some of our claims in the Tucson area, if I set the gain at 8 or above, my machine kicks off. Please give me your thoughts on this. Doug

In highly mineralized ground and on a hot VLF large coils work against you. I could use a large GMT coil but the market is too small to address.

Steve, that is what I was told, that the market would not support it. Jim said that I could use it at Ganes, but would have to put it in the closet when I returned to Tucson.
