About This Forum - Forum Rules
This forum is for people who have questions about metal detecting. Forum moderator Steve Herschbach is a recognized expert in the field. His specialty is looking for precious metals, especially gold nuggets and jewelry. Steve likes questions from beginners - please ask! Steve would like nothing more to help get a new person into metal detecting. It is a relaxing activity that at times can lead to great monetary rewards. But nothing will beat the rewards of exploring the country and making new friends as you search for treasure. A metal detector is your doorway to fun and adventure - enjoy!
These forums are new. If you have suggestions or questions we welcome hearing from you at the About These Forums page. If this forum becomes popular enough and if people think it serves a purpose we can create sub-forums about specific products or brands.
The AMDS Adventure Forum is owned and operated by Alaska Mining & Diving Supply, Inc. of Anchorage, Alaska. The company has people on staff who are widely regarded as experts in their field. The forum was created as a way for our customers to interact with the company experts and is focused on various product lines carried by the company. However, anyone is welcome provided some simple ground rules are obeyed.
First and foremost, this forum is about Fisher, DetectorPro, Garrett, Minelab, Tesoro, and White's products and metal detecting in general. Please refrain from discussing anything else and please keep it upbeat!
We are here to discuss the fun and adventure of owning what are in effect toys for big girls and boys. The forum is moderated and it is our desire to keep each forum tightly on topic. Off topic posts will be deleted. Since this is a company sponsored forum, it should be obvious that posts that advertise competing products or companies will not be allowed. Please do not bash competing products. If you are looking for solid information from experts or simply want to enthuse with fellow enthusiasts then you have come to the right place.
Although the administrators and moderators of the AMDS Adventure Forum will attempt to keep all objectionable messages off this forum, it is impossible for us to review all messages.
