Cell Phone Booster

I was told at the Boat show that a cell phone booster enabled cell phone usage pretty much everywhere in Prince William Sound. I am going to research a couple cell phone antennas and will report back later. Can't wait to try it out!

Communications technology these days is mind-blowing. I went from alone in the wilderness a few years ago to toting a sat phone around with me. But sat phones are still pricey for sure. I'm very interested in what you find out about cell booster technology.

I believe the best "booster" you will ever get for a cell phone is the ability to use an external antenna. Having a high-gain directional antenna will make a world of difference. Trouble is, try and find a cell phone anymore with an external antenna connector!

I have tried two different booster antennas. One worked a small amount and the other did nothing. I do know that if you don't have any signal at all then it will not work, at least that was what happened to me. Let us know Steve, if there is any new tech. to be had on the market. I will be very interested to learn what you find.
